Help us celebrate by participating in
our first ever fine wine and spirits auction!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area (BBBS) will be capping off our All-Stars campaign this year with our first ever Fine Wine and Spirits Auction! We would humbly request your support for this initiative by considering a donation of a few chosen bottles from your cellar which we will then auction off to the highest bidders to raise much needed funds. If you have excess wine in your cellar, or simply want to make room for new wine, please consider donating to our auction.
How do I donate?
To participate, send us a list for consideration, and we’ll send you the values. Once agreed upon, you can drop off the spirits at Willow Park Wine & Spirits or contact us and we can arrange for one of our volunteers to pick it up – that’s it!
We will be accepting donations until July 30, 2021. Please download and complete the form below to send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Who will I be supporting?
One-hundred per cent of the funds raised during this auction will support BBBS and the Robinson Outreach at Rivercross Ranch (ROARR), an equine assisted learning organization. Additionally, Iron Gate Auctions Inc. has generously donated their expertise and services to manage the auction. In the past year, Iron Gate Auctions Inc. has raised over $850,000 for charities and cultural organizations coast to coast! Your support will help us create and nurture life-changing mentoring relationships for children and youth in and around Calgary who need them the most. Our goal is to ensure all children and youth who need a mentor, get a mentor.
Thank You to:
While all wine types are gratefully appreciated, Iron Gate Wine has advised that the best returns come from 2nd-5th growth Bordeaux and Californians.
Wine or spirits should be “auction-able” with a minimum value $50 per bottle and in sellable condition without leaking or low fill levels.
If you require a tax receipt, we can provide them on donations valued at more than $100. All donations will be valued by a CRA certified appraiser.
