Cheryl Bernard

Two time Olympian, four time Scotties Tournament of Hearts competitor, and four time Alberta women’s champion, Cheryl Bernard is Canadian curling legend. She is a natural leader and mentor; embodying the BBBS spirit, Bernard led the Canadian National Curling Team to a silver medal in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, BC. Bernard is a published author, motivational speaker, philanthropist and in 2018 was named President of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame in Calgary.

Bo Levi Mitchell

Making his professional debut in 2012 with the Calgary Stampeders, Bo Levi Mitchel quickly made his mark on the city. Mitchel won his first Grey Cup in 2014, also earning the honour of Grey Cup MVP. He was named as 2016 CFL Most Outstanding Player, leading the stampeders to 3 consecutive Grey Cup appearances. Bo is a long-time supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area through his involvement in All-Stars For Kids, #ThrowForBroke and Mitchell’s Miracle Day event for BBBS Calgary kids.

Sean Monahan

Known for his skating and stick-handling abilities, Sean Monahan is a long-time supporter and champion of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and area; drafted 6th overall by the Calgary Flames in 2013, Monahan quickly became the youngest Flame to reach the 100 goal milestone. During the 2018-2019 season, Monahan used his high scoring talent to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area with Monahan’s Big Goal For Kids. Partnering with Qualico and the Flames Foundation, $750 was donated to BBBS Calgary, each time Sean scored a goal – for a grand total of $21,750.
