All of the funds raised will support mentoring programs for children in our community who are facing adversity and in need of caring supportive relationships. We need champions like you to help ensure that every child can realize their full potential and achieve more.

The presence of a caring mentor in a young person’s life has the power to heal and encourage a developing mind, to provide hope , and to instill the confidence to achieve more. Mentorship changes lives for the better and when we live better lives we build better communities.

A study from the Boston Consulting Group found that every $1 invested in mentoring by Big Brothers Big Sisters returns $18 to society, and up to $23 for the most economically disadvantaged.

By every measure, Big Brothers Big Sisters returns positive, results in the mental health, employment, and civic engagements of the children in our programs:

For over 30 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been making a positive difference in the lives of children and youth in Calgary and the surrounding areas through a wide range of one-to-one and group mentoring programs.

Last year alone, more than 1,600 Big and Little matches participated in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs in Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, and the surrounding areas.
